Fine arts practice 2008/10 – Current. My practice and research is finely interwoven with the Live Art Garden Initiative project and also incorporates the following:-

Untitled artists’ film work
Creation of new durational, site specific, movement-based performance work in situ; and further development to produce moving-image works. (This part of my personal arts practice will be supported by participation in The Fields residency, as proposed). Current
Untitled drawings
A substantial body of line-drawing work. Intention to develop a new series of larger scale drawing works for exhibition in 2009. Commenced 2000 – Current
Art as Event: Upon Ideas, Different/ciation and Art by Marie Cool & Fabio Balducci
Draft paper upon Cool & Balducci’s work ‘Untitled 2006_2009’, performed at the South London Gallery, 15 May – 28 June 2009. 6,000 words. Strongly influenced by re-reading chpt. 4, 'Ideas and the synthesis of difference' in 'Difference & Repetition' by Gilles Deleuze, 1968. June 2009
'Creating new garden-farm environments as Art and different/ciating parameters of Art and Value as Event in these contexts'
A PhD practice-led research proposal. The principal concerns will revolve around this question: ‘How would creating art within new garden-farm environments, those that are themselves both created as art and generative of sites of action in critical ethical engagement with the contemporary nexus of libidinal economies and environmental issues, affect 'different/ciating' parameters of contemporary arts and arts philosophy practice relating to concepts of Art and Value as Event – particularly durational, movement and sound-based live arts practice and associated moving-image practice?’. Last revised: August 2009.
Becoming Desire and Event

A visiting artist course proposal. The course investigates arts practice and philosophy relating to ‘becoming’, ‘desire’ and ‘event’; and draws from the transdisciplinary approach to arts practice and research that I take as an artist. The course is an extension of a two day visiting-artist teaching block which introduces some of the main issues guiding my practice:

Intimacy as Event: A workshop, directed performance-experiment and discussion. A workshop devised to explore aspects of intimacy and involving participation in a directed performance-experiment and a discussion. Goldsmiths College, University of London. Dec 2007. Performance-experiment directed by Lauren Goode (workshop leader). Special guest artists included: Helen Palmer, Fabrizio Manco and Rachel Gomme. This workshop was part of the INTIMACY Across Visceral and Digital Performance conference/event programme, co-directed by Maria Chatzichristodoulou and Rachel Zerihan.
Project profiles

Artist review series: immersivity, art, architecture, sound and ecology. Six symposia events – transdisciplinary presentations facilitating critical exchange, discussion and review. Initiator, curator and coordinator: Lauren Goode. Supported by the ‘Networking Artists’ Networks Initiative’ (NAN) through a-n The Artist Information Company. Co-organised by the Live Art Garden Initiative and Electronic Music Studios, Goldsmiths College. 2006-07.

Research - Dynamics conditioning a live art of movement-fields Focus: what it means to undertake experimental trans-interdisciplinary performance-art research and what is involved; how live art can explore pervasive, non-mediated life and the un-capturable; what the potentials are of in situ live art engaging with durational fields of movement; and what the ecological and environmental issues are that contemporary continental philosophy raises. Draft papers: 'Phonic surface – a theatre', 2004–05; and 'Dynamics conditioning a live art of movement fields', 2005–06.
