'Creating new garden-farm environments as Art and different/ciating parameters of Art and Value as Event in these contexts'
A PhD practice-led research proposal. The principal concerns will revolve around this question: ‘How would creating art within new garden-farm environments, those that are themselves both created as art and generative of sites of action in critical ethical engagement with the contemporary nexus of libidinal economies and environmental issues, affect 'different/ciating' parameters of contemporary arts and arts philosophy practice relating to concepts of Art and Value as Event – particularly durational, movement and sound-based live arts practice and associated moving-image practice?’.
Artist review series: immersivity, art, architecture, sound and ecology. Six symposia events - transdisciplinary presentations facilitating critical exchange, discussion and review. Initiator, curator and coordinator: Lauren Goode. Supported by the ‘Networking Artists’ Networks Initiative’ (NAN) through a-n The Artist Information Company. Co-organised by the Live Art Garden Initiative and Electronic Music Studios, Goldsmiths College. 2006-07.
Research - Dynamics conditioning a live art of movement-fields Focus: what it means to undertake experimental trans-interdisciplinary performance-art research and what is involved; how live art can explore pervasive, non-mediated life and the un-capturable; what the potentials are of in situ live art engaging with durational fields of movement; and what the ecological and environmental issues are that contemporary continental philosophy raises.
