About my work

My current personal project is an experimental journey into body consciousness through theta (brainwave) states and relating this form of communication to contemporary science. I’m starting to become aware of local time variations within the body and exploring the ‘quality of consciousness' within these areas through movement practice, dance, live art, video and any other form of playfulness that captures my imagination. The practice side includes training in areas of energy-based medicine and intuitive anatomy – modalities based on the understanding that we know everything we need to know about ourselves as living systems, even if we might have forgotten how to articulate it. I aim to develop extensions of practice, which relate to artist strategy and education working with the principle that social harmony emerges when people are allowed to be truthful to their individual human design. My interest is in the constant, subtle exchanges that take place on the sub-atomic level and eventually manifest through us and the macro world we create. For me, opening up to multiplicity and recognising that we may be limited by our perception, and systems based on that perception, makes for sustainability.
