a baroque teasing
a pleasing and keeping to…
and paths severely crossed with arms
and circular walks and aimless strolling to
a bells cue and the sirens that queue…
the ghosts of visitors there awaiting them
and stares and stairs to elaborate nowheres
and the leaving of shoes
and the careful filling of
a small hands delicacy with stones
in case the shoes too should afloat
with the sliding, gliding grace of the passing boat
